Brigitte Askonas

Brigitte A. Askonas, FRS, is a British immunologist. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society and as of 2008 a visiting professor at Imperial College London since 1995.[1]

From 1976 to 1988 she was head of the division of Immunology of the British National Institute for Medical Research.[2][3] In 2007 she was made a foreign associate of the United States National Academy of Sciences.[4]

She has written several biographies of high profile scientists including Niels Kaj Jerne[5], César Milstein[6] and John Herbert Humphrey[7]
